Steam Boilers
Asteam boiler is a closed vessel in which liquid (typically water) is heated. The liquid does not necessarily boil. The heated or vaporized liquid exits the boiler for use in various processes or heating applications such as cooking, district heating or boiler-based power generation. Steam boilers are an important part of thermal power plants. The basic working principle of the boiler is quite simple and easy to understand. The boiler is essentially a closed vessel in which water is stored. Fuel (usually coal) is burned in a furnace and hot gases are produced. These hot gases come into contact with the water container where their own heat is transferred to the water and as a result steam is produced in the boiler. This steam is then delivered to the turbine of the thermal power plant. There are many different types of boilers used for different purposes such as running a production unit, sterilizing some areas, sterilizing equipment, heating the environment, etc.
Scotch Type Steam Boiler
One of the most commonly used steam boiler types in industrial plants is the scotch type steam boiler. Industrial scotch type boilers are flame – smoke tube, high efficiency, fully cylindrical steam boilers with large water volume. Scotch type boilers, which are designed as liquid and gas fuel, can also burn solid fuel when specially designed. They are easy to use and can be operated without operator control for up to 72 hours in accordance with international norms.
Rotary Grate Steam Boiler
Therotary grate steam boiler system basically runs on coal. In the process, all components of the coal continue to burn until the end of the grate. In this type of steam boilers, both a highly efficient combustion and a very low emission value are provided.
Fluidized Bed Steam Boiler
Fluidized bed steam boilers, which are generally highly efficient and environmentally friendly, are water tube boilers. Again, the main factor in this type of boilers is the mixture of coal and ash. Coal is burned in the lower part and in the fluidized bed, and steam is produced with the hot gases generated. The outgoing gases go to the filter with the help of the chimney fan and are discharged into the atmosphere.
Stoker Steam Boiler
Since stockpiled prehearth boilers work with the principle of top combustion, the coal burns completely and pollutes the environment at a minimum rate. The boat, loading and boat auger, coal silo, reducers turning the augers, fresh air fan are the main elements that make up the system. Since a complete combustion takes place in the stoker steam boiler, unburned coal particles are not emitted into the environment.
D Type Steam Boiler
D type steam boiler is preferred where high pressure capacity is required. Since the heating surface is large and the water volume is small, more steam is obtained from the unit heating surface. It responds to fast and high capacity steam needs in a short time.
Advanced Steam Boiler
Forward thrust steam boiler provides high efficiency and the ability to operate according to the heat demand in the system. Heat conduction is provided by radiation in the forebox and convection in the boiler. The smoke gas generated as a result of combustion passes through the boiler and is discharged from the chimney in accordance with the flue gas values permitted by the air quality protection regulation.
